Since then, the programme has received great feedback from both learners and volunteers. Some students expressed that they are interested in exploring higher education, and these classes are the first step on that journey!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>ESOL classes are already helping the students to achieve these dreams. At the end of 2024, 6<strong>0% of the students said they were moderately confident with their English skills, and 40% said that they were very to extremely confident<\/strong>. They said that his teaching was clear and understandable and helped them to heighten their confidence.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This year, John and the nine student-volunteers taught an average of\u00a0<strong>nine\u00a0refugee women each week<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>delivered 28 hours of ESOL classes<\/strong>.
