Drop-in
Drop-in Support Sessions
Northampton Town of Sanctuary has been renovating and refurbishing our office and community space – and with that, our Community Kitchen.
Our Community Kitchen creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where adults and families seeking sanctuary can come together around food. It is a place not only to cook and eat, but also to build confidence, share skills, and celebrate culture.
Through hands-on cooking sessions, participants are encouraged to explore new recipes, exchange cultural traditions, and strengthen connections across the community. The kitchen also provides opportunities to develop practical food-handling and employability skills, supporting healthier lifestyles while opening doors to training, entrepreneurship, and future pathways.
At its heart, the Community Kitchen is about nourishment — of body, identity, and belonging, in an environment that can be new. Our kitchen is newly set up and is still being fixed up. These photos are currently a work in progress.
