English Classes with NToS!
English Learning Space (ESOL Support)
We offer English language support delivered by trained staff and volunteers with experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages. This provision currently focuses on supporting refugee women, helping to improve communication skills, literacy, and integration into daily life. We aim to expand this programme as additional resources become available.
Northamptonshire Town of Sanctuary partners with volunteer TESOL teachers from the University of Northampton and other organisations to provide basic conversational English classes to our service users.
We aim to help them improve their literacy and skills in speaking and reading English. Our service users have reportedly felt more confident with their English speaking skills after attending our classes. These classes usually run weekly at our community space.
NToS aims to be as inclusive as possible, especially for people who originally speak foreign languages.
